How long does the process of finding a nanny take?

On average, the process of finding a nanny takes 1-2 weeks depending on the details of your position and your ability to hold interviews. Some nannies are placed as soon as the following day.

Do I meet the placement counselor in person?

It is not common for World Class Nannies placement counselors to meet with clients, however we recommend that the first contact be via telephone, as it assures all details regarding your specific needs have been noted. If requested by the client, we would be more than happy to discuss placement details and potential candidates in person.

Can I choose any language?

Clients may express a preference for a specific language and we will do our best to satisfy particular requests.

How much should I expect to pay a nanny?

A nannies salary depends on number of children, education level and years of experience. Please see salaries and fees.

What is the difference between a Nanny and a Babysitter?

A nanny works on a consistent part-time or full time basis, where as a babysitter is hired on temporary basis, usually lasting 3 months or less or for occasional sittings.

What type of household duties do nannies perform?

A nannies household duty varies depending on the families needs. Some nannies may be asked to keep the children’s room organized, tidy up the kitchen after meals, escort children to activities, pick up from school, run errands for the family and prepare the children’s meals. Most of our nannies are predominantly from the U.S. We also receive nannies from Australia, China, Europe (England, Holland, France, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Russia), Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and other countries.

How do you find your nannies?

Most of our nannies we have received are from referrals of former families and nannies that have used World Class Nannies services.

What kind of experience does a World Class Nannies candidate have?

World Class Nannies professionals represented by our Agency must have long-term professional experience and verifiable references in their related field. Our nannies are of a variety of ages, nationalities and educational backgrounds (e.g. psychology, kindergarten and primary school teachers) and speak various languages. Such diversity allows us to offer you a wide range of profiles to match your specific needs.

How does World Class Nannies screen candidates?

The candidates you meet through us will have completed a detailed application as well as a thorough in person interview. Candidate’s references are verified via telephone. In addition to verifying recent work experience, we conduct a Psychological Evaluation administered by our Licensed Psychologists, Dr. Myriam Wan Der Lann.
